The ONLINE Master’s in Special Education (6-12) at the University of Montevallo is designed for those with a Professional Educator’s Certificate who want to elevate skills in inclusive, resource, and self-contained classrooms to support adolescent learners with disabilities.
UM’s 6-12 Special Education program provides candidates with the tools to fully understand the unique needs of adolescent learners with various disabilities. Candidates will learn effective, evidence-based strategies and the latest research on inclusion, multi-sensory literacy instruction, behavior intervention, and instructional technologies to support diverse learners.
The 6-12 Special Education Master’s program leads to advanced (Class A) professional educator certification to work with adolescent students.
